VISIONARY

From September 11th to 13th, 2023, the Faculty of Economic Sciences hosted the first-year summary meeting of the Visionary project (Food Provision through Sustainable Farming Systems and Value Chains, Horizon Europe). The event brought together participants to discuss the project's progress and review research plans for the months ahead.

The Visionary Pproject focuses on advancing sustainable and ecological food production. Over the past year, the team has undertaken several activities, including:
•    Conducting reviews and qualitative research.
•    Formulating research hypotheses.
•    Establishing collaborations and networks with experts in sustainable food production.

The meeting also served as a platform for discussing the Faculty’s collaborations, which have involved a diverse range of partners, including: Food Co-operatives, Agricultural Advisory Centres, The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and various NGOs.

The conference was coordinated by Professor Mikołaj Czajkowski, Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Economic Sciences. Faculty representation included Dr. Katarzyna Zagórska and MA Wojciech Zawadzki from the Department of Microeconomics.

This gathering marked an important milestone for the Visionary project, fostering dialogue and strengthening partnerships that will continue to drive progress in sustainable and ecological food production.
