WIEM

For nearly 20 years, the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw has been hosting the Warsaw International Economic Meeting (WIEM)—a prestigious conference bringing together researchers and experts from around the world.

The event covers a broad range of topics, including: macroeconomics, international trade, labour economics, education, microeconomics, industrial organization, finance and econometrics. 

The conference is coordinated by Professor Leszek Wincenciak, Head of the Department of Education and Labour Economics.

The 19th edition of WIEM featured Professor Gabriel Felbermayr from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and the Austrian Institute for Economic Research (WIFO) as the keynote speaker, enriching the event with insights from his renowned research.
