ICEA
The Warsaw Money-Macro-Finance Conference is an annual event that brings together researchers from around the world specializing in macroeconomics and finance. Topics covered include monetary and fiscal policy, business cycle analysis, growth theory, financial analysis, and general equilibrium.
To date, six editions of the conference have been hosted by the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw. The event is co-organized with the International Centre for Economic Analysis (ICEA), an organization committed to advancing research in economics and related social sciences.
Each year, the conference attracts numerous speakers from leading academic institutions, including the University of Birmingham, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the Geneva Graduate Institute, and the University of Catania.
Recent keynote speakers include: Professor Frank Smets (European Central Bank, Ghent University) in 2023, and Professor Marcin Kacperczyk (Imperial College London, Centre for Economic Policy Research - CEPR) in 2024.
The last two editions of the conference were coordinated by Dr. Marcin Bielecki from the Department of Macroeconomics and International Trade Theory.
