Employee and social affairs

For employees from abroad who do not speak Polish and are starting (or planning) to work at the University of Warsaw, an important source of information is the Welcome Point. It offers practical information related to employment and living arrangements in Poland.

Employment-related issues which pertain to academic and administrative staff are described in the Employment Handbook, an interactive guide produced by the Human Resources Office (BSP) at UW.

In the Practical Information, you will find matters that are not covered in the Guide prepared by Welcome Point or in the Employment Handbook. These include business travel and making purchases. There are also useful links directing you to the units where specific matters are dealt with.

UW's social support includes various types of aid and assistance, including subsidies, housing loans, an allowance, or preferential use of Sports and Leisure Centre services.
