badania ekonomia.pngThe scientific research conducted at the departments and sub-departments of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw concern micro- and macroeconomic issues from theoretical and empirical perspectives, problems in the global economy, development, including sustainable development, population processes, financial issues - especially those of enterprises, but also public finances (including local government), public choice and the functions of the public sector, creation and application of quantitative methods and IT tools in economic and analyses, and others. Part of the research is being conducted in cooperation with numerous foreign centres.


The Faculty employees carry out studies as part of statutory research and external projects, which are financed by domestic and foreign sources. Among other sources, those statutory funds are used to support doctoral candidates and other young scientists who are pursuing their own initiatives.
