Prof. Dr h.c. Oded Stark

is a professor at the Department of Population Economics and Demography of the Faculty of Economics and at the same time an honorary doctorate of the University of Warsaw.

According to the compilation of Research Papers in Economics (RePEc), the largest non-commercial bibliographic database on economics and finance, he is the highest ranked economist in Poland and among the top 1% of economists worldwide.

In a ranking conducted by Handelsblatt, he is annually ranked among the top three economics professors of the German language area.

Prof. Dr. h.c. Oded Stark publishes at least several articles each year in international scientific journals with a high impact factor.


The Oded Stark Award

The Prof. Oded Stark Award has been given for outstanding publishing achievements since 2007. The award is funded by Professor Oded Stark, an outstanding economist and professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, at the University of Warsaw.


Doctoral candidates and people who obtained a doctoral degree within the last 3 years may apply for the award.


Applications should be sent by 30 June each year to the email address of the General Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences.
