Academic staff issues

The responsibilities of academic staff are based on their affiliation with one of three staff groups (research, teaching, or research and teaching).
Academic staff is subject to mandatory periodic reviews every 4 years, with regard to the appropriate performance of their duties, as defined in Article 115 of the Law on Higher Education and Science.

The rules of proceedings for the conferment of the degrees of doctor and habilitated doctor are regulated by the procedure adopted by the Senate of the University. Applications to conduct proceedings for the conferment of the degree of doctor are addressed to the respective Scientific Council of the Discipline, and applications for the conferment of the degree of habilitated doctor are addressed to the Council for Scientific Excellence.

Academic teachers can make use of a database of scientific and educational mobility offers. The University of Warsaw has launched a search engine of mobility offers, which includes international scholarships within bilateral agreements, the Erasmus+ programme, governmental scholarship offers, other scholarship programmes, and research programmes.
