Doctoral proceedings
The procedure used in doctoral dissertations or doctoral degree granting proceedings.
Proceedings for the award of a doctoral degree initiated after 30 September 2019, by a person who commenced doctoral studies before the academic year 2019/2020 are conducted on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science, with certain modifications, which are detailed in para. 4 and para. 6 of Resolution No. 481 of the Senate of the University of Warsaw from 16 October 2019 on determining the procedure for conferring the degree of doctor and the degree of habilitated doctor at the University of Warsaw.
Requests for proceedings for the conferral of the degree of Doctor shall be addressed to the relevant Scientific Councils of the Disciplines.
 

Scientific Council for the Economics and Finance Discipline
Administrative support for doctoral degree procedures is provided by the Office for the Scientific Councils. It is advisable to contact the supervisor of the relevant Scientific Council of the Discipline which confers the degree. Matters related to the implementation of educational programmes are managed by the Doctoral Schools of the University of Warsaw.

Requests concerning proceedings for the conferment of the degree of Doctor Hab. of Science should be addressed to the Council for Scientific Excellence (RDN).
The application should indicate the habilitating (post-doctoral) entity selected to conduct the procedure; the requirements specified by the selected entity should be taken into consideration.
