10th Polish Law & Economics Conference
The Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw hosted researchers specializing in the field of economic analysis of law. The conference, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Polish Association of Law and Economics, took place on May 23-24, 2025.
The guests were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Dr. hab. Gabriela Grotkowska, Prof. ucz. Keynote lectures were delivered by Professor Kathryn Spier (Harvard University) and Professor Claudine Desrieux (Université Paris Panthéon-Assas).
During the conference, awards were presented to the winners of the competition for the best student paper on economic analysis of law. Warmest congratulations go to:

Eliza Hałatek, who won 1st prize for her paper "The relevance of central bank communication – does it really build trust?"

Jakub Ryło, awarded 2nd prize for his paper on "Economic Analysis of Widows’ Pensions: Regulatory Impact Perspective"
- Tymoteusz Mętrak, who secured 3rd place with his work "Transition from a market to a centrally planned economy. Measuring the difference in GDP per capita".
The event was organized by the Polish Association of Law and Economics (PSEAP), in cooperation with the Faculty of Economic Sciences, the Centre for Economic Analyses of the Public Sector (CEAPS), Jagiellonian University, SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and the University of Warsaw Foundation.
