Polish Conference on Cultural Economics (ACEP)
The 1st Polish Conference on Cultural Economics was organized by representatives of the Association for Cultural Economics Poland Research Centre, affiliated with Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw.
Held on 24 November 2022, the conference centered around two open lectures:
- "What Drives the Creativity of Music Composers? Some Insights from Economic History of the Arts", delivered by Professor Karol Borowiecki (University of Southern Denmark), and
- "Values of Arts and Culture", presented by Professor Trine Bille (Copenhagen Business School, President of the Association for Cultural Economics International).
A key feature of the conference was a panel discussion on mapping quantitative cultural research in Poland, featuring experts from leading national cultural institutions.
Participants also engaged in workshops designed to: identify centres, teams, and research projects focused primarily on quantitative cultural research in Poland, and explore opportunities for collaboration between these entities. Workshop topics included popular culture, new media, and the financing of culture.

The project was coordinated by Dr. Aleksandra Wiśniewska (Department of Microeconomics, WNE UW), Dr. Wojciech Hardy (Department of Technological Transformation, WNE UW, DELab UW), and Bartosz Jusypenko (PhD student, Department of Microeconomics, WNE UW).
