Widening Horizons of Macroeconomic Research

During the "Widening Horizons of Macroeconomic Research" conference, discussions covered RCT research, monetary policy in the eurozone, banking unions, taxation, and migration.

We hosted representatives from numerous academic institutions and organizations, such as Nova School of Business and Economics, LMU Munich and CEPR, St. Louis Fed, Goethe University Frankfurt, University of New South Wales, Banco de Portugal, and Tallinn University of Technology. Participants keenly shared findings from their ongoing research.

The event also featured a poster session, which presented topics such as fiscal shocks and public debt in the EU, the role of shadow banks in fiscal transmission, and monetary-fiscal interactions during large-scale asset purchase programs.

The conference was co-organized by the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw, together with the European University Institute (EUI), the International Centre for Economic Analysis (ICEA), and GRAPE.
