The Faculty of Economic Sciences hosted the 16th World Conference of the Spatial Econometrics Association, an international gathering dedicated to spatial econometrics, on June 23–24.
Preceding the conference, a two-day workshop was conducted by the event organizers: Professor Katarzyna Kopczewska, Professor Mateusz Kopyta, MA Maria Kubara, Dr. Kateryna Zabarina, and Ewa Dobrowolska.
The conference featured guest lectures by:
- Professor Julie Le Gallo (AgroSup Dijon, Université Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, and the Centre for Economics and Sociology Applied to Agriculture and Rural Areas).
- Professor Christopher Brunsdon (Director of the National Centre for Geocomputation, Maynooth University).
The program also included parallel sessions with participants from institutions such as the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Maynooth University, the University of Groningen, Babeș-Bolyai University, and Leibniz University Hannover.
The conference was held under the honorary patronage of the Central Statistical Office.
