Microeconomics
The Department of Microeconomics of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw conduct research at the international level, which includes the following fields, among others:
- modelling consumer preferences and behaviour
- experimental economics
- behavioural economics
- environmental and resource economics
- energy economics
- cultural economics
- industrial organisation
- microeconometrics
- non-market valuation
- modelling relationships between markets
- simulations of the effects of government policies
- non-linear optimisation
The Department of Microeconomics is one of the most active departments at the Faculty and in Poland. Today, the best indicators of this are as follows:
- the number of published scientific papers;
- the prestige of the journals where these publications appear (the top international journals have an 'impact factor' and a high number of points on the list of the Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN);
- the number of citations of these works, e.g., in Google Scholar or Web of Science.
