September 26, 2025 Special session at Faculty of Economic Sciences’ Conference
During this year's WNE UW conference, a special session was devoted to research conducted as part of the FIRMINREG project. Research results were presented by Krzysztof Szczygielski, Karolina Goraus-Tańska, Mateusz Kopyt, and Jacek Lewkowicz. Additionally, Krzysztof Szczygielski presented a summary of the FIRMINREG project.

September 18, 2025 Seminar concluding the FIRMINREG project
During the seminar titled "Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Profit-Shifting: Lessons for Economic Policy," the FIRMINREG project was summarized by Professor Krzysztof Szczygielski. It is worth noting that the project aimed to develop tools for monitoring the innovation activity of enterprises and assessing the impact of regulations on innovation, including R&D tax relief and IP Box tax relief. A special lecture, "Technology Adoption, Innovation, and Productivity in the Light of International Experience," was presented by Dr. Łukasz Marć (World Bank in Bucharest).

The seminar also featured a debate moderated by Patrycjusz Wyżga. Participants in the panel discussion included Dr. hab. Anna Białek-Jaworska, professor of economics, and Dr. hab. Krzysztof Szczygielski, professor of economics (WNE, University of Warsaw), the aforementioned Dr. Łukasz Marć (World Bank), Dr. Jakub Sawulski, Deputy Director of the Strategy Department at the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, and Łukasz Kuśmierz, Deputy Director of the Income Tax Department at the Ministry of Finance. Issues related to innovation policy instruments and their related benefits and legislative challenges were discussed.

Conference presentation

In August 2022, Anna Białek-Jaworska presented preliminary research findings titled “The determinants of tax base erosion: Evidence from the banking sector in Poland” at the World Finance Conference in Turin, Italy.

FIRMINREG Project Workshop

The FIRMINREG project team organized a one-day internal workshop on April 15, 2022, during which the first project results were presented and discussed with invited experts. The workshop agenda included the following blocks: Innovation, Starting a Business, and Profit-Shifting.
