Scientific and research activities

The Department of Population Economics and Demography conducts research in the following areas:

  • social change and economic development versus demographic processes 
  • models of demographic transition 
  • mortality and health demography
  • labour mobility 
  • immigration to Poland

Scientific research work (on grants) is carried out by the Department for national projects which are financed, inter alia, by the National Science Centre (NCN) as well as those funded by the European Union.
