Interdisciplinary Doctoral School, Quantitative Psychology and Economics
Short Research Description
My research focuses on analyzing the relationship between reference income (i.e., the average income of a reference group consisting of peers to whom an individual compares themselves) and subjective well-being (measured by life satisfaction and affective happiness). In my doctoral research, I compare this relationship across Central and Eastern European countries in the context of the so-called "tunnel effect," which results in increased tolerance for social inequalities.
