Zachęcamy do zapoznania się z abstraktem wystąpienia – zaprezentowanym poniżej.

Prisoners' dilemmas define material temptation experienced by otherwise altruistic individuals who are more keen to cooperate. Yet a rise in the discomfort from forgoing temptation through the act of exercising self-control can enhance cooperation and material welfare. While in isolation individuals like to avoid more tempting decision-making environments, as a member of a non-cooperative group they assure themselves, mutually, their most desirable levels of temptation given their principles of altruism. They are often found to prefer games with higher temptation as they mutually agree that greed enhances cooperation towards achieving their altruistic goals.
