The Conference on Law and Economics
Researchers specializing in Law and Economics will gather in Warsaw on 17–18 September for a conference organized by the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw and the Warsaw School of Economics.
The event is initiated by the European Association of Law and Economics (EALE), and this year’s conference will mark its 43rd edition. According to the organizers, participants may submit up to two papers, but present only one. If both papers are accepted, the co-author may present the second paper.
The conference will also feature an award for the most promising paper presented by a young researcher. Eligible candidates are those who obtained their PhD no earlier than May 2024.
Importantly, the conference will be accompanied by two keynote lectures, delivered by Prof. Bentley MacLeod (Columbia University) and Prof. Maciej Szpunar (University of Silesia, European Court of Justice).
Among the conference organizers, a significant number are representatives of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, including:
- Prof. Jacek Lewkowicz (Department of Political Economy)
- Prof. Katarzyna Metelska-Szaniawska (Department of Political Economy)
