My primary focus is on the empirical study of law using machine learning algorithms. In my doctoral dissertation, I analyze the content of rulings from Polish district courts, clustering them by topic using topic modeling algorithms. I also analyze changes in the distribution of topics over time and socio-economic characteristics of regions that influence the empirical probability of appeals.
