Converting grades from certificates/diplomas obtained abroad

The method of converting grades from certificates obtained abroad which entitle enrolment in first-cycle studies is defined in Appendix 2 to Resolution no. 62 of the University Council. Points obtained by candidates holding certificates from countries which are not included in the above-named document are converted in accordance with the rates used for Polish national finishing examinations: basic level with a conversion rate of 0.6, advanced level with a conversion rate of 1.0, and in cases where there is no stated level, with a conversion rate of 0.8.

International candidates holding a diploma from outside the European Union, EFTA, EEA, OECD countries, or countries with bilateral agreements with Poland (e.g., Ukraine, China), applying for BA studies, are required to complete a two-stage admission procedure:

  1. Conversion of secondary school exam results.
Candidates who score at least 50% (i.e. 50 points) proceed to the second stage of the recruitment process. Candidates who score below the required threshold in the first stage will receive 0 points for the entire admission procedure.

  2. Entrance examination in mathematics – maximum score: 100 points.

The exam will take place on 17 July 2025 at 09:00 (Warsaw time) in an online format (UTC+02:00 Central European Summer Time / CEST).
The exam will be a single-choice test covering mathematics knowledge at the level of a Polish upper-secondary school. It will assess the candidate’s understanding of the curriculum and mathematical skills as outlined in the Polish national core curriculum.
Sample materials and guidelines are available at:
    https://cke.gov.pl/egzamin-maturalny/egzamin-maturalny-w-formule-2023/informatory/

A direct link to the test will be sent to candidates after their secondary school certificates have been evaluated.

The final admission score is the arithmetic average of the results from both stages of the recruitment process.
