In accordance with the decision of Professor Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, October 31 has been declared Rector’s Day for the entire University. Consequently, it will be a day off from work and classes.

During her visit to the Faculty of Economic Sciences, the University of Edinburgh researcher will discuss the effects of austerity policies in the United Kingdom, particularly their impact on reproductive decisions across different social groups. As part of the Microeconomics Seminar Series, a lecture by Professor Mantovani will take place on November 7 at 17:00 in Room B002. The speaker’s main research interests include competition policy, economics of innovation, digital economy and managerial economics.

The lecture will focus on the topic „Should Egress Fees Be Eliminated? An Analysis of Cloud Services and Beyond”.

On September 29, the Adam Mickiewicz Auditorium in the Auditorium Maximum building was filled with members of the Faculty of Economic Sciences community. Together, we celebrated the beginning of the new academic year.

Students with the highest admission scores received symbolic transcripts of records from the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Gabriela Grotkowska.

We are pleased to announce that the Central European Economic Journal has been indexed in Scopus, one of the leading academic databases in the world.

This is a significant achievement for the journal and the entire research community, which will enhance its citation potential and strengthen its academic position.

On the first Saturday of July, we gathered in Adam Mickiewicz Aula (Auditorium Maximim building) to celebrate the completion of another important educational milestone by the graduates of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, and to honour the academic staff who received promotions in the current academic year.
