V Edition of the Warsaw Econometric Challenge
The registration for the Warsaw Econometric Challenge (WEC) has begun. This year's edition will take place on April 12, 2025, in an online format. The event is organised by the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw.
The competition's organizing committee includes:
- Dr. Marcin Chlebus
- Prof. Jacek Lewkowicz
- Dr. Rafał Woźniak
- and Prof. Piotr Wójcik.
The competition is open to both graduate and undergraduate students who wish to test their skills in solving an econometric problem.
As in previous years, teams of up to 4 members are invited to participate. Participants will have 24 hours to conduct a comprehensive data analysis and write a scientific paper on a subject described by the organizers.
The WEC, based on similar hackathons, attracts hundreds of participants from around the world each year. It presents an excellent opportunity to engage with a business problem and test your teamwork skills.
The winning team will receive a cash prize of 2,000 PLN (per member). Financial prizes will also be awarded to the second and third place winners.
