Why the Faculty of Economic Sciences?

- The Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw is the only centre in Poland that holds three Certificates of Excellence in Education from the Polish Accreditation Commission for all of the fields of study and specialisations offered by the Faculty.
- The "Economics" and “Informatics and Econometrics” programs run by the Faculty are the best programs in Poland, and "Finance and Accounting" is second in the country in the national ranking Perspektywy 2024.

- The Faculty offers highly specialised and innovative programmes in Polish and English, which are enriched by practical knowledge of advanced econometric and programming tools, e.g., SAS, STATA, R, Python, VBA, C++.
- Apart from regular studies, the Faculty offers students many practical development tracks, such as "The Digital Economy" which is carried out with Google, "Data Mining Certification Programme" with SAS Institute Poland, or "The Anti Money Laundering Program", held with Citi Bank.
- The Faculty lecturers use innovative, experimental methods of teaching during classes, such as projects, simulations, and case studies with the use of e-learning platforms or computer laboratories.

- The Faculty is the best polish economic research institution and is ranked in the top 10% of scientific institutions in Europe according to the international database RePEC (Research Papers in Economics).
- The programs “Finance, International Investment and Accounting”, "Finance and Accounting" and minor "Corporate Economics" offered by the Faculty are internationally accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and students of the Faculty have the opportunity to pass part of the ACCA qualifying exams during their studies.
- Master's studies conducted at the Faculty of Economic Sciences are highly rated every year in the international Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking. In 2024, four fields of study were ranked highly in the ranking for Central & Eastern Europe. "Data Science and Business Analytics" took first place, the program „Quantitative Finance” was ranked second, International Economics and Informatics and Econometrics were 4th.

- The Faculty constantly cooperates with international corporations and leading employers; according to the data from the Polish Graduate Tracking System (ELA), the Faculty’s graduates find a job on average 2-3 months after graduation.
- Graduates of the Faculty achieve the highest average earnings in Poland, in the first year after obtaining their diplomas, according to the ranking of economic studies by the Rzeczpospolita newspaper, compiled on the basis of Polish Graduate Tracking System (ELA) data.

- Researchers of the Faculty involve their students in the projects that are being conducted at the Faculty; over sixty national and international research projects are currently being carried out at FES UW.
- The Faculty’s students may also conduct their own research within the system of mini grants offered by the Faculty
- The Faculty’s students have the opportunity to carry out their own research with the best economists in Poland: 30% of the leading Polish researchers in the field of economics are FES UW Faculty members, and one of the Faculty's professors is ranked among the top 1% of economists in the world, according to RePEc.
