DISCIPLINE OF ECONOMICS AND FINANCE AT UW AWARDED A+ CATEGORY
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has published the results of the evaluation of scientific activity quality. The discipline of Economics and Finance at the University of Warsaw received the highest category (A+). Furthermore, UW achieved the top score in this discipline as the only research center in the country.
Receiving such a prestigious category as A+ attests to the outstanding scientific level of the conducted activities and research.
The evaluation covered the quality of scientific activities conducted in the years 2022–2025. The assessment was based on three criteria:
- the scientific level of the conducted activities (publications, patents),
- the financial results of scientific research and development work (research projects, revenue from services and commercialization),
- and the impact of scientific activity on society or the economy.
Out of 26 disciplines evaluated at the University of Warsaw, nine received the A+ category, nine received the A category, and eight received the B+ category.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone associated with the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw, whose daily work and commitment contributed to achieving this highest rating.
