Tasks
The Centre's tasks:
- to initiate and carry out research in the field of public finance
- identifying common research topics in public finance among the staff of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and supporting the translation of common interests into research projects
- applying for funding for research projects in public finance from external funds; participating in research competitions and carrying out research projects from external funds
- cooperation with the public sector - expert (scientific) support in the field of public finance at every level of public management
- cooperation with Polish research centres in areas of common research interest
- cooperation with foreign research centres in the field of public finance, including exchange of experience, comparative analyses of tax systems in various countries, preparation of expert opinions and recommendations for tax policy based on the experience of other countries
- scientific and didactic supervision of the field of study conducted in Polish: Finance, Investment and Accounting faculty, specialisation: Public Finance and Taxation
- supporting the Faculty in organising and teaching postgraduate courses in the areas of public finance, most in demand on the market
- drafting textbooks, articles and scientific monographs on public finance
- popularising scientific knowledge in the area of public finance
- promoting the Faculty, including among secondary school students, in order to attract the most talented secondary school graduates to scientific cooperation in the area of public finance
- supporting the public finance careers of the Faculty’s alumni, creating an expert pool of the Faculty’s researchers and distinguished graduates to participate in the Centre's work
