A. Semkow Competition for the Best Master's Thesis

The Andrzej Semkow Award for the best master's thesis defended at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw has been awarded annually since 1987. The award was funded by the parents of the prematurely deceased Andrzej Marek Semkow, a talented chemist and assistant professor at the University of Frankfurt, to honour their son's memory by allocating funds to young, talented students of the Faculty. Andrzej Semkow's father was a retired academic researcher at our Faculty - dr hab. Jarosław Semkow.

The winners of the competition are identified by the Award Committee, which evaluates the submitted works  after their preliminary recommendation by members of the Faculty Teaching Council. In addition to the award, the winners of the competition receive a cash prize.
