New Seminar Series at the FES: Climate Resilience and Innovation in the Caribbean post Hurricane Melissa
We are pleased to announce a new seminar series organized by researchers from the Faculty of Economic Sciences. The series focuses on issues related to climate resilience and innovation in the Caribbean following Hurricane Melissa. The initiative is led by researchers affiliated with the Energy Awareness Lab, a research center operating at the Faculty of Economic Sciences. The Energy Awareness Lab was established by Dr Bartłomiej Dessoulavy-Śliwiński, Dr Rana Umair Ashraf and Dr Syed Anees Haider Zaidi as part of the project Environmental Consciousness: A Behavioral Rebound Effect „ENCON”, funded under the 4th EU-LAC Joint Call in STI 2022.
We cordially invite you to attend the first seminar, which will be held online on 28 January at 16:00. The lecture entitled „Climate Finance, Digitization and Energy Poverty” will be delivered by Dr Syed Anees Haider Zaidi (Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences) and Dr Preeya Mohan (The University of the West Indies).
The seminar will focus on strengthening climate resilience by equipping participants with practical tools, sharing experiences, and presenting innovative approaches to sustainable development.
