The Faculty’s team placed 2nd in the world at the Rotman International Trading Competition 2023

This is the biggest success in the history of the Faculty’s representatives at the Rotman International Trading Competition!

The team of the Faculty’s students consisting of: Jakub Kasprzak, Bartosz Bieganowski, Illia Baranochnikov, and Jakub Wnęk under the guidance of prof. Robert Ślepaczuk, Head of the Department of Quantitative Finance at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw, won 2nd place worldwide in the prestigious Rotman International Trading Competition 2023!

Representatives of the Faculty were ranked among the top in the world edition of the competition, just behind Baruch College from New York. As a reminder, this is another achievement - after winning 1st and 2nd place in the Rotman European Trading Competition 2022.

The Rotman International Trading Competition brings together teams of students and their mentors from universities around the world to compete in a unique 1-day simulated market challenge. This year's competition categories are: Volatility Trading Case, Liquidity Risk Case, Electricity Trading Case and Algorithmic Trading Case.
