Welcome Days and Inauguration at the Faculty of Economic Sciences

At the end of September, the Faculty of Economic Sciences will organize Welcome Days for students beginning their studies at the Faculty. Regular classes will begin on October 2nd.

Below we present a detailed schedule of the Welcome Days meetings:

  • On September 24th, 2025, from 11:30 to 13:00 - a training session on the use of the University's IT study support system (USOS), which will discuss, among other things, the issue of registering for classes, which already take place on 25th of September in the afternoon. The training can be attended on campus (W. We are also pleased to invite you to the official Inauguration of the Academic Year 2025/2026 at the Faculty of Economic Sciences. The ceremony will be held on September 29th at 15:00 in the Adam Mickiewicz Auditorium, located in the Auditorium Maximum building on the Main Campus (26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street). During the event, students who achieved the highest scores in the admission process will be awarded symbolic student index books. Additionally, the inaugural lecture will be delivered by Dr Tomasz Gajderowicz (Department of Education and Labour Economics, Deputy Director of the Educational Research Institute).

The official Inauguration of the University of Warsaw will take place on October 1st at 14:00, in the same location (Adam Mickiewicz Auditorium in the Auditorium Maximum, 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street).

Please find below additional information regarding the beginning of studies:

1. Based on the Rules of Study at the University of Warsaw all students need to have the University’s academic e-mail address. Students have to create it themselves using the following link: https://it.uw.edu.pl/en/uslugi/UslugiMojaPocztaGmailStudent/. Detailed information will be provided during training about the USOS system.

2. General academic registration for OGUN courses (please pay attention to OGUN category that is required by your curriculum), PE classes and language courses for BA students is provided through separate registration procedure in USOS (http://usosweb.uw.edu.pl/). We kindly remind you that Faculty of Economic Sciences students studying in English should register for courses in other language than English, mother and country of origin language. Please note that there is a schedule for registration available on the website. Please remember that it is necessary to take a test leveling language fluency at: http://jezyki.come.uw.edu.pl/.

3. We would like to inform you that according to the study program, students are required to complete an Occupational Safety and Health course (OSH) in the winter semester. The course is carried out on the KAMPUS platform at https://kampus.come.uw.edu.pl
