On 4-5 July the 18th edition of the Warsaw International Economic Meeting (WIEM) conference was held at the Faculty of Economic Sciences.

The Warsaw International Economic Meeting is a scientific event gathering researchers from all areas of economics which was held at the Faculty for the 18th time. This time the Conference was held on 4-5 July. The participants of the Conference presented unpublished analytical work or new research in all areas of economics with special focus on macroeconomics, international trade, labour economics, education, microeconomics, industrial organization, finance and econometrics.

The Conference was opened by the Dean of the Faculty, prof. Gabriela Grotkowska.

Within the event, coordinated by prof. Leszek Wincenciak (Head of the Department of Education and Labour Economics) 15 sessions were held, with representants of universities from Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, India or United States among others.

The main objective of this meeting is to stimulate cooperation of researchers from all over the world.

We are glad that the Conference was once again held in the premises of the Faculty and host researchers from many academic centres.
