Hello and welcome in Warsaw, at our Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw!
Below you will find key information to navigate at our Faculty, registration and other.
1. For spring semester 2024/2025 ERSAMUS+ Students: from now on you should contact with us (teachers/admistration) from our Uni. email address (@student.uw.edu.pl).
2. When writing an email please always add your name, surname (last name) and student number which you can find after log in to USOS Web.
For erasmus students, those numbers starts with "K-" and then you have five radomly given by the system digits, for example "K-12345".
An email is not a chat, so sometimes answer can be after few minutes, other times after few hours but also may be after two days. Please keep that on mind.
3. Registration, personal data, grades, schedules and other study related matters are in USOS Web.
There is the main, UW's USOS Web: https://usosweb.uw.edu.pl/kontroler.php?_action=actionx%3Anews%2Fdefault%28%29&lang=en
And there is our only Faculty of Economic Sciences USOS Web: https://usosweb.wne.uw.edu.pl/kontroler.php?_action=news%2Fdefault&lang=en
4. Registration for our Faculty's courses will be open for you from 30.01.2025 6PM to 16.02.2025 6PM in our Faculty's USOS Web. When the time will come please use our USOS Web, log in and go to "Student's Section" -> "Registrations" -> "Registration for courses" and then to full list to all registration in the "News section".
5. Our Faculty does not have dedicated courses only for erasmus students. Since that, you will join to our regular courses with full time students and you will be treated as such.
6. Our courses codes start with "2400-...". If there is "2400-...-OG" that means it's General University course and in order to be register to it you have to ask International Relation Office UW for tokens. Registration for such courses is in Token Registration in the main (UW's) USOS Web - link above.
If there is diffrent numbers than "2400-..." in code then it's not our course and for more details or other questions you have to reach not with us but the Faculty who's owning that corse. More details about that are in syllabuses.
For exaple, Faculty of Managment's corse codes start with "2600-..." and for registration/other question, you should contact with that Faculty not us.
7. In order to search for a course and get the syllabus, you have to enter our serach engine in "Directory" in USOS Web: https://usosweb.wne.uw.edu.pl/kontroler.php?_action=katalog2/index
You can search by course code, name or by the Faculty.
Once you enter the course you want, you will be able to see syllabus which has all details, along with the timetable when and where the classes are.
8. In our registration you will find only our courses but not every single one of them, that we have in ofer.
You will be able to register for most courses like lectures and conversatories.
Please remember that since you will join our regular courses some of them maight be full (no free spots in groups) and with that registration may be not possible. In such situation our regular students have priority since those courses are mandatory for them in order to do the whole study programme and get promotion to the another year or graduate.
REGISTRATION FOR THESIS SEMINARS IS NOT POSSIBLE AT ALL. Those are only for our reguslar student.
If the topic will be interesting for you, then you can ask the teacher to participate in such seminar but without any registration in the system or recognition in future Transcript of Records and Learning Agreement. Not all teachers allow that so please mind that at the first place.
Thesis seminars are descripted in syllabus as "Thesis Seminar" and their codes has big later A, B or C in the end of a code - for example "2400-...C".
9. If a course is not listed in the registration but it's our Faculty's course, it's not thesis seminar and it's not General University course (-OG) then please contact with me by email, as I've described in point 2. Additionally add the course name and it's code. If the course has more than one group, please provide which group number you want to join (not day or hour when it's scheduled but only group number). If there will be free spots, I register you manualy in USOS Web. If it's going to be full with no free spots I could be not allowed to add you over the limit. In such situation I will create the waiting list, wait at least till 10th of Feb. to have more such cases and will ask the Vice Dean for student's affairs if there is a chance to add you over the limit. If there will be no approval then I, and anybody else, will not be allowed to register you in the USOS Web for such course.
TEACHERS DO NOT REGISTER STUDENTS IN USOS WEB! Please do not ask them to do such thing. They technically can not do that.
10. Semester will start on Monday, 17th of Feb. 16th of Feb is the last day of the registration. If after that day you will have any requests about the registration then, due to our study rules, you have 3 first weeks of the semester to make any change in registered courses.
So, that 3-week period will start on 17th of Feb. and end on 9th of March. During that time, if you would like to be unregistered from our courses, register for courses with free spots or change the group of a course, please contact with me by email. Of course email should have all details as I've described above.
AFTER THAT TIME (9th of March) NO CHANGES CAN BE DONE IN USOS WEB REGARDING REGISTRATION!
Please mind about that to have no issues later on.
11. One of the most important document, that has all important dates is Facutly's academic calendar: https://www.wne.uw.edu.pl/application/files/8417/2673/2092/aacademic_calendar_2024-2025.pdf
Please read it and save it for later. Some of those events are not for you, for example degree exams or round of registration, but key info are: when semester starts and ends and when the exams to our courses will be.
The examination schedules will be published here: https://www.wne.uw.edu.pl/en/students/calendars-and-schedules/examination-session-schedules
