W rytmie ekonomii: On inflation and monetary policy

In the premiere episode of the Faculty’s podcast, prof. Łukasz Hardt talks about money, inflation and monetary policy. He wonders whether the high inflation of recent months could have been avoided, looks at the actions of the Monetary Policy Council and the Central Bank, and shares his experiences from his time as a member of the MPC.

Prof. Hardt also touches on some of the themes that run through his book "Eseje o polityce czasu niepewności". He talks about the relationship between monetary policy and fiscal policy, the importance of central banks communication and the consideration of climate or demographic change in monetary policy.
