Thank you for spending 2023 together.

The year 2023 is the Jubilee year, in which we celebrated the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Economic Sciences. We are glad that we could celebrate the Jubilee together with you - dear Employees, Alumni, Students and Friends of WNE UW. So behind us were interesting lectures presenting scientific issues undertaken at the Faculty, or a debate with the participation of representatives of the world of science, government, business and non-governmental organizations. Aula A at our Faculty was named after Prof. Włodzimierz Siwiński - a prominent Personality of the UW science world, for many years associated with WNE UW.

Following in the footsteps of previous years, we hosted scientists from all over the world participating in the Department's flagship conferences: Warsaw International Economic Meeting or Warsaw Money-Macro-Finance Conference. Prof. Beata Javorcik - Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - also presented her lecture at WNE UW. Prof. Anil Bera - world-renowned econometrician - also visited our Faculty. We offered the Faculty's students the bulk of lectures and seminars given by visiting professors from renowned research centers.

In May, we had the opportunity to meet together in the space of the BUW Gardens at the WNE UW Family Picnic. The athletic competition was provided that day by AZS UW.

June and September, on the other hand, were the Graduation of Graduates and the Inauguration of the Academic Year. Thank you for being together in such large numbers that day!

Last year, we also presented videos promoting the Faculty and the 4 English-language programs conducted at WNE UW, respectively. And both students and faculty of the Department participated in them - we are glad that we could present the activities of our Department in this form as well.

We appreciate your - dear WNE UW community, daily work for the benefit of the Department and the University, initiative and cordial words to WNE UW.
