Faculty’s scientists granted during The First Polish Science Gala

Prof. dr. dr. h. c. Oded Stark received an award for lifetime achievement and PhD Ewa Zawojska for the outstanding PhD thesis  "Incentive compatibility in stated preference valuation methods”.

Prof. dr. dr. h. c. Oded Stark each year publishes several articles in international scientific journals. In Handelsblatt ranking prof. Stark is one of three best professors of economics in german-speaking countries, on RePEc list - he is the highest-ranked economist in Poland and among 1% of the best economists in the world. Prof. Stark is not only an esteemed author but also a reviewer of around 50 of the most important economic journals in the world.

The thesis by PhD Ewa Zawojska consists of eight scientific articles. Several of the articles were published in international scientific journals with an “impact factor” indicator which implies high level of scientific research shown in the thesis. Articles were published in the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization (“impact factor” 1.296) and in the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (“impact factor” 2.635), among others.
