MA or PhD student (economics or mathematics)
Very good command of English, enough to be able to read scientific articles and prepare pieces of scientific texts
Interest in international trade issues and trade policy and/or simulation models for economic policy
Experience in using statistical software on an intermediate level (preferably Stata), proficiency in Microsoft Office, programming skills (any language) preferred.

Description of responsibilities:
Work in NCN-funded project entitled Economic effects of Brexit-induced changes in international trade. Research assistant’s tasks include literature review on Brexit issues, preparation of Brexit scenarios, data gathering and processing, trade and tariff data analysis, estimation of non-tariff barriers as well as work on simulation models in cooperation with other members of project staff. Conditional on own scientific contribution to the scientific work, we also offer co-authorship in the project-related publications.

On 26.11.2019 , the recruitment committee, having evaluated the applications and having awarded the candidates with points in particular evaluation areas, has drawn up a ranking of the candidates and on its basis has decides to award the scholarship to Mr. Jacek Szyszka.
