Programs of the Faculty on leading positions in the Ranking by Subject Perspektywy 2021

On June 22nd 2021 the results of the national Ranking of Universities and Ranking by Subject Perspektywy 2021. Studies provided by the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw were evaluated in the field of economic and received leading positions in the country.
In the field of “Economy” program offered by our Faculty have been recognised the best in Poland with the result of 100 points. Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) was ranked second with 88.6 points, third place went to the Jagiellonian University in Krakow which received 65.70 points.
The program “Economics” of the Faculty received maximum amount – 100 points in the category “International Accreditations” and “Publications”.
The program offered by the Faculty received close to the maximum amount of points in categories:
- “Quality accepted for studies” (97,4 points)
- and “Alumni’s economic situation” (97,5 points), which includes three parameters: graduates’ earning wages level in relation to earning wages in the county of residence, job experience and employability of graduates measured with the risk of unemployment against the unemployment rate in the county of residence

Studies on the program “Finance and Accounting” of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw were ranked second in the country, receiving 96,8 points. This is a significant improvement in comparison to the last year’s compilation in which the program received 82,7 points. Maximum amount of 100 points the program received in categories “Scientific category impact” and “Publications”.
First place in the category “Finance and Accounting” received studies provided by the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) – 100 points and on the third place – program provided by the Poznan University of Economics (93,2 points). Complete Ranking by Subject “Finance” is available on the website.
The Ranking by Subject “Perspektywy” is based on indicators grouped into six criteria:
- Graduates on the labour market
- Academic potential
- Didactic potential
- Quality accepted for studies
- Academic effectiveness which includes e.g. publications and citations
- Publications - international cooperation
- Foreign students

The University of Warsaw in this year's ranking became the leader of Ranking by Subject. The University conducts 23 programs which were recognised as the best in Poland. The University was also considered as having the highest scientific efficiency.
In the University Ranking, the University of Warsaw was ranked second after the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
