Training about the use of Artificial Inteligence infinance conducted by the Faculty’s researchers

On 28-29.01.2021, employees of the Quantitative Finance Department of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw conducted a training for the Polish Financial Supervision Authority on the use of new technologies in finance.

On the first day, prof. Piotr Wójcik talked about the use of artificial intelligence in finance, in particular about the opportunities and challenges related to the rapidly developing robo-advisory services. On the second day, Marcin Chlebus, Ph.D. and Janusz Gajda, Ph.D. conducted a practical workshop on the so-called eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) using R.

The training was conducted as part of the Horizon 2020 project entitled: "A FINancial supervision and TECHnology compliance training program" (https://fintech-ho2020.eu) carried out in a consortium of 25 universities and companies from the financial sector from European Union countries. The Polish team is led by prof. Piotr Wójcik.
