Jacek Lewkowicz won IPiSS competition

Jacek Lewkowicz and Ewa Cukrowska-Torzewska awarded in the 19th edition of Institute of Labour and Social Studies Competition for the best PhD dissertations in the field of labour and social politics.
The award ceremony took place on December 19th, 2017 in the "Dialog" Centre for Social Partnership under the honorary patronage of Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy. Seven doctoral dissertation were awarded (four prizes and three distinctions).
First degree award went to Jacek Lewkowicz from the Faculty of Economic Sciences for his doctoral dissertation “Labour Market Regulations and Their Effectiveness. The Perspective of the Economic Analysis of Law". (supervisor dr hab, prof. UW Łukasz Hardt, assistant supervisor dr hab. Katarzyna Metelska-Szaniawska). One of the distinctions went to Ewa Cukrowska-Torzewska for her dissertation “On the parenthood decisions and gender wage differentials: the case of Poland” (supervisor: dr hab. prof. UW Urszula Sztandar-Sztanderska).
