The first remote doctoral seminar of our Faculty in the 2020/21 AY [19.10.2020]
14 October 2020
On behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, prof. Gabriela Grotkowska and the head of doctoral studies at WNE, prof. Jan Jakub Michałek, we cordially invite you to the first remote doctoral seminar of our Faculty in the 2020/21 academic year. This first meeting will also be attended by the Vice-Dean for Research, prof. Mikołaj Czajkowski. The meeting will be held on October 19 (Monday) at 15:00.

Meeting ID: 895 3995 6044
During the first meeting, the Dean will present the main challenges faced by PhD students and the Faculty in the pandemic period as well as issues related to the representation of doctoral students in the Self-government and relevant committees. There will also be a talk about the organization of this seminar itself and other scientific meetings (including research seminars) organized by WNE.
During this weekly seminar, doctoral students present the concepts of their dissertations and individual papers, discuss draft versions of articles and research, and present readymade extracts of Ph.D. dissertations. These seminars create a very good opportunity to learn how to work on a Ph.D. thesis, conduct research and discuss the assumptions and results of research conducted by doctoral students.
They are an important element of the exchange of experiences between doctoral students. They should be useful for both senior PhD students at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and PhD students of PhD schools (Social and Inter-disciplinary: QPE). These seminars are conducted in English.
