A student of the Faculty of Economic Sciences is among the most popular students in Poland

We kindly inform that the voting in the competition INTERSTUDENT for the best foreign student in Poland and the most popular foreign student has been completed. The competition is organized by the Educational Foundation Perspektywy. Tinatin Akhvlediani was among the most popular. She hold the third place, obtaining 15 939 votes. Mohammed Alsarraf, a PhD candidate of the Faculty of Biology UW, also took part in the competition (with the result 1 684). The gala will take place 22nd January 2015 in Lublin. Tinatin Akhvlediani is International Economics student with average 4,76. The topic of her thesis is vital socially. It concerns the relations between the costs on education and the economical development in the European countries in the context of mobility programmes for students. Moreover our student is associated with the Faculty's Students Society (Samorząd Studentów WNE) and represents UW on the outside by taking part in various projects, for example during Bratislava Summer School 2014 within discussion about “New Path of Economic Growth and Social Development for Europe”. Furthermore for high results in learning she was awarded by the President of Georgia. She obtained scholarships: DAAD, Central European University in Budapest, and also Erasmus-Mundus twice.
We would like to congratulate distinction in such a prestigious competition. We wish further success in education and future professional career. At the same time we would like to give thanks to all who voted for Tinatin.
