Prof. Jerzy Kleer's 90th Jubilee

Dean's Board of the Faculty of Economic Sciences cordially invites to a meeting on the occasion of prof. Jerzy Kleer's 90th jubilee which will be held on March 8 at 15:00 in B301.
Prof. Jerzy Kleer - Polish economist who specializes in theory of economics, globalization, regionalization, public sector, development economics and economic policy. He defended his doctoral thesis under the supervision of prof. Oskar Lange at the Faculty of Political Economy at the University of Warsaw in 1958. In 1962 he received doctor habilitatus degree. Between 1971 and 1983 he was in charge of the Department of Cooperative Theory, then head of the Department of Foreign Cooperatives at the Cooperative Research Institute and at the same time of the Chair of Cooperatives and later Chair of Economics of Public Sphere at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw. In 1983 he obtained the academic title of professor. Between 1983 and 1987 he was a consultant in the field of economic and social problems of the Third World and socialist countries at the UN University in Tokyo. Since 1993 he has been a member of the "Poland 2000 Plus" Forecasting Committee at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Starting from 2012 he has been working as a professor at the Institute of Economics at the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2014, a ceremony of renewal of his doctorate has been organized at the University of Warsaw.
