Immigration Law - Free workshop for Students

Institute of Public Affairs invites foreign students to participate in the legal workshops that will be held on 13-14 of May 2015 (from 11.00 to 14.30) at the Institute of Public Affairs, Szpitalna 5/22 street in Warsaw. Participation in workshop is free of charge.
The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with knowledge on basic principles and procedures of the immigration law in Poland. Participants of the workshop will learn more about their legal situation in Poland, the complexities and characteristics of Polish law and administrative procedures in which they participate (eg. obtaining the residence card etc.). During the workshop, the lawyers-trainers will also answer individual questions from the participants regarding, among others, their legal status and plans for staying in Poland.
The workshops are designed for students from outside the European Union (third country nationals).
Thematic scope of the workshop:
- Legalization of stay (visas & residence permits: requirements, procedures etc.)
- PESEL number, basic rules of administrative procedures
- Working in Poland (legality of work, labour code rules, non-discrimination principle)
- Business in Poland (Including types of entrepreneurships, eligibility, procedures)
The workshops will be held in the IPA's office in Warsaw (Szpitalna St. 5/22). Reimbursement of the travel expenses for people outside the Warsaw will be available.
